Privacy policy of DOLIX

Last modified: February 12, 2022
DOLIX values your privacy. In this privacy policy, we describe how we collect, use, secure, and disclose the information we obtain about you. By using our Services, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled as described in this policy.

Ways to contact us

Discord support server: https://discord.gg/rCYNtBHXQ9
VK support group: https://vk.com/medusco

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time, so please be sure to check it periodically. If we make any changes that materially affect our practices, we will do our best to notify you in advance. Any change is effective immediately after it is posted on the current webpage, and you agree to those changes when you continue using the Service. If you do not agree to the new policy, you should stop using the Service.

Information we collect

We only ask you for your personal information when it is necessary to provide our services. All information is collected by fair and lawful means, with your full knowledge and consent. We will always let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used. By accepting this policy, you voluntarily agree to give us the needed access and allow us to process any information we get by calling the Discord API with the tokens we obtain after the authorization is complete. However, we guarantee that all data will be used strictly according to the Discord Developer Terms of Service and Discord Developer policy. If you are not satisfied with our use of data, you can always revoke or adjust the access via the "Authorized apps" settings of your Discord account or remove the bot from your Discord server.

You may browse without authorization but, to make the most use of our system, you must provide the Service with some access to your Discord account or Discord server. If you choose to do so, we will process the data you have given us access to, including but not necessarily* limited to:
     a) Discord account
          1) public information about the account, including the ID, nickname, and avatar URL
          2) the list of servers you are in
          3) your permissions on each server
     b) Discord server:
          1) public information about the server, including the ID, name, owner, icon and banner URLs
          2) roles list with the necessary information about each role, including the ID, name, color, permissions, and the list/amount of members that own it
          3) members amount, and the public information about the members who interact with the bot, including the ID, nickname, roles list, permissions, presence and activity (both voice and text) data
          4) channels amount, and the information accessible by the bot about the channel, including the ID, name, permissions, and list of members who are in the channel
          5) specific messages in accessible text channels if necessary (usually, only for long-lasting interactions with the bot)
          6) other module-specific data that is explicitly specified or clearly recognizable in the control panel
* Although we do our best to keep this policy in line with the changes to the Service, due to its complex structure, we cannot guarantee that it does not access or process any extra information that is not yet listed in this policy. If you notice the Service accessing any such data, you can report it to us, and after all the required checks, we will add the respective record to the policy.

In some cases, you may be asked to provide some information yourself. If you choose to enter the response, we guarantee to use it only as supposed and according to the explanations provided elsewhere. However, we cannot prevent such information, if it is declared public, from being used by other users in a manner that may violate this policy, the law, or your personal privacy.

Information we use

The only purpose we obtain information about your account is to provide and improve our services. We do not use or ask for any information not needed for our Services to work. All the data we process is used as follows:
     a) Discord account
          1) the list of servers you are in and the information about your permissions on each of them are needed for a convenient navigation around the control panel: without this data you will not be able to choose the server you want to work with in the control panel
     b) Discord server:
          1) The ID of each object (user, server, channel, role, etc.) is used to identify the object in our database
          2) Nicknames, names, avatar, icon and banner URLs are used to display the data in the Service in a nice, human-readable way, and are usually never stored
          3) Other data is usually not stored long-term, and the purpose of its collection is clearly recognizable when using the bot
Some information may be accessed by the support staff of DOLIX to help you should you require support. However, none of the sensitive data can be viewed even by the support staff unless it is decrypted, which we will never do without your explicit permission. Note that the support staff will never ask you about any private sensitive data (passwords, tokens, etc.) under any circumstances.

Security of Your personal information

We only retain the collected information for as long as necessary to provide our Service, and we have implemented commercially reasonable precautions to protect the data we collect from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Any login credentials to the Service are protected with passwords, 2FA, encryption, and other necessary technologies. All HTTP servers we use in the Service are protected with SSL encryption and other types of protection, including CSRF and XSS. Any sensitive data, including your authorization details, are not stored in an unencrypted way in long-term storage, even on your side.
If you have any concerns regarding the security of our data practices, you can contact us with the details provided elsewhere in this document.
However, be aware that, despite our efforts, no security can guarantee the safety of your information. You should also take steps to protect against unauthorized access to your password, phone, computer, and other personal data/devices. We are not responsible for any information you disclose because of your negligence, such as not signing off after using a shared computer, choosing a simple password, or exposing your private login details.

Do we share the information

We do not normally share your data with anybody except the Discord API to enable the Service to work properly and obtain all the needed information. However, we may change this policy in the future or disclose your data to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or any other legal process.

Third-party links

Our Services may contain links to third-party services we do not operate. Any access to and use of such services is not governed by this policy but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third-party services. Be aware that we have no control over their content and practices, and we cannot accept responsibility or liability for their information practices.
